I know you may have questions that needs to be answered.....
Q: What are your rates?
A: My rates are $85.00 per week for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years. Part-time not available! A multichild discount of $5.00 will be given per family.
Q: What are your hours?
A: My daycare is open from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm. Due to having a family of my own, this schedule is not flexible.
Q: Do you work on potty training?
A: I am happy to work on potty training as long as it is being "consistently" worked on at home. Children are not forced and are not punished while potty training. This can be further discussed at the time of interview.
Q: What all do you provide for my child?
A: I provide a safe, fun, christian learning environment for your child as well as plenty of love and individual attention! Children will receive two healthy meals and two healthy snacks each day. Parents provide formula for infants but I will provide wipes and solid foods. I also provide a structured schedule that is designed to help the children grow and have fun as well as keep them safe.
Q: What is your training and experience?
A: I have been in the childcare business since 2002 but have always had a love for children! I am required by licensing to receive 12 hours of child care training each year, however, I usually receive 24+ hours per year through workshops, conferences, and in home visits. I am also attending college to obtain my degree in Early Childhood Education.
Q: How do you handle discipline?
A: I use intervention and discussion, redirection to another play area, loss of privileges, and "time-out" for age appropriate children using the guidelines of 1 minute per year of child's age. For toddlers and infants, I will
use distraction and redirection to guide their behavior. I use time-out as a last result, most times the children in my care have gained enough respect for me that redirection and discussion work well.
Q: Do you smoke, drink, or have pets?
A: I have a smoke free home, anyone who smokes that visits is expected to step outside. I do not drink. We
have no pets.My facility is clean and follows all of the licensing rules set by the state of Missouri.
Q: Do you have assistants?
A: I do have any assistants at this time. But I do have back-ups if they are needed. There is a full state background
screening on myself and all of who will be involved with the children in my daycare. I also have an FBI background
screening on myself.
Q: How many children do you care for?
A: I am able to care for 4 children by myself but how many I care for varies all the time. I never care for more children than I am capable of properly caring for. The safety and care of the children I care for is the up most importance to me.
I hope this page has helped and I know you will have more questions, we can go into further detail upon interviewing, or please feel free to email me, call me, or text me any time!
